Meghan McCain praises AOC's line of questioning at Cohen hearing: 'That's how it's done'
On Thursday’s The View, co-host Meghan McCain praised Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s line of questioning to Michael Cohen during his congressional testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, by saying she had “one of the best lines of questioning of anyone.”
After showing some highlights that included Ocasio-Cortez questioning Cohen about President Donald Trump possibly inflating asset values to insurance companies, and asking for names of others who might know details, McCain gave some props to Ocasio-Cortez.
“She was asking for names and receipts and she wasn’t using this as a platform to, you know, put her agenda one way or the other, to grandstand for the cameras. That’s how it’s done,” McCain said. “I’m highly critical of her but that was the best line of questioning.”
Viewers on Twitter were glad that Meghan was giving Ocasio-Cortez the credit they think she deserves.

I agree with you completely @MeghanMcCain. I only wish the rest of our House Representatives had followed @AOC and stuck to a line of questioning that would have provided more answers to all our questions.

And while McCain praised Ocasio-Cortez, she thought the hearing as a whole didn’t really do much for any of the parties involved.
“The spectacle of this hearing, I thought, didn’t move the needle one way or the other,” McCain said. “I think if you’re a Trumper, it didn’t change anything. I think if you hate Trump, it didn’t change anything.”
