Will Meghan Trainor become the new "Mother" on American Idol's judging panel? She sure hopes so.

After recently throwing her name in the ring to replace Katy Perry on the ABC singing competition series' upcoming 23rd season, the "All About That Bass" singer shared new insight into her efforts to join Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie at the judges' table.

"I've done every interview in the world and said that that is my dream job," Trainor shared on Watch What Happens Live's June 12 episode. "I have emailed three awesome people who work in that world who don't really have the full say, but I have begged for this job."

Unfortunately, the 30-year-old has yet to receive an offer.

"I haven't heard any updates," she added. "Check my emails!"

In addition to being a longtime Idol fan, Trainor expressed her desire to mentor young talents hoping for their big break in the music industry.

"I love watching superstars go from they just auditioned," she noted. "I love being a part of their process. I just get way too attached."

"It's my favorite show, I've watched it since I was a child," she concluded. "So that's my dream job."

Trainor's update comes one week after Bryan gave the Grammy winner his stamp of approval.

"The whole thing about that role is you gotta have personality and you gotta have fun with it every day," the country star told E! News. "And I think Meghan has fun with her career, she's kind of like me. She doesn't take herself too serious, she has fun with her music. So, yeah, that'd be great."

In the end, Bryan admitted, "I'll support her or whoever all the people at ABC decide to go with. And it'll be exciting to see who they decide to fill Katy's seat."

While fans wait for news of Trainor's potential casting, keep reading to see inside her sweet romance with husband Daryl Sabara.
