As the Spice Girls continue to celebrate their 30th anniversary this year, the British girl group looks a little different than it did three decades ago, with the members now dabbling in everything from fashion to solo music careers. While fans were hopeful that a 2024 reunion tour could be in the works, David Beckham recently shut down speculation that the Spice Girls were heading back on the road – and no one is more disappointed than Mel B, AKA Scary Spice.

Scary Spice revealed that her fellow Spice Girls–Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Mel C, and Emma Bunton–got tired of her constant texts asking to go back on tour during a Wednesday, Oct. 30 episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks. When asked why she was famously kicked out of the Spice Girl WhatsApp chat, Mel C, whose real name is Melanie Brown, replied, “Because I’m Northern and say what I think and feel and I’m constantly saying to the girls, 'We need to go back on tour,'" per The Sun.

Brown had a sassy quip ready for why she was “ditched” in the group chat. "Because they’re d-ckheads,” she joked.

The group recently reunited (and privately performed) as Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, rang in her 50th birthday, but they’ve been largely doing their own things since going on an indefinite hiatus in 2000. While Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice, has been building her fashion and beauty empire, Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) launched her own music label Red Girl Records and Mel B has been competing on reality shows like Dancing With the Stars and The Masked Singer.

Despite speculation that a potential 2024 Spice Girls tour could be in the works–which would be their first time performing all together since 2012–David Beckham recently revealed that the group’s busy schedules got in the way.

In a June interview with Variety, David said, "Unfortunately, that’s not happening. Victoria was so pleased to see the girls, and it was a massive part of her life, the girls, but obviously, all the girls have got their own things going on. They will do certain things together at certain times. But Victoria's full on with her beauty and fashion businesses. If anyone’s busier than me, it's her."
