'Melrose Place' Is Getting a Reboot: Find Out Which OG Stars Will Return
Amanda Woodward aka Heather Locklear is returning to Melrose Place! Parade has confirmed that a reboot of the '90s drama is in the works with stars from the original show set to reunite. CBS Studios is developing the reboot based on the series created by Darren Star, which ran from 1992 to 1999 on Fox. The news was first reported by Deadline.
A revival of Melrose Place premiered on The CW in 2009, but was canceled after one season. Josie Bissett, who played Jane Mancini on the original show, told The Seattle Times in 2021 that "Melrose is a tough show to reboot unless it’s with the original people."

Who will be cast in the Melrose Place reboot?
Laura Leighton, Daphne Zuniga and Heather Locklear, who played Sydney Andrews, Jo Reynolds and Amanda Woodward on the original Melrose Place, respectively, are set to return for the reboot. Locklear, who reprised her role on The CW's Melrose Place, said on the Stars in the House series in 2020, "It'd be fun to play Amanda again."
According to Deadline, "More original cast members are expected to join the reboot if it comes to fruition."

The reboot will see OG residents of Melrose Place gather to honor one of their "dearest friends," who "dies suddenly." Per the official logline, "The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective."
