The WWE has always had a relationship with Hip-Hop and they put it on full display at their 2024 Bad Blood premium live event in Atlanta this past weekend. Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, and Quavo were among the highlighted guests from the genre.

In July, the company promoted the show with a trailer that featured Boomin and current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The duo sat outside of the State Farm Arena in a car doing a “stakeout,” and the end of the trailer revealed that Metro and Future’s “GTA” would be the theme song for the event.

During the show this past Saturday (Oct. 5), the WWE shouted out Metro, Baby, and Quavo plus Killer Mike. Quality Control’s Pierre “P” Thomas and Lil Yachty were also present during the event. Metro had a hilarious segment where he was seen in a suite with Naomi and WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair; they were all partying when suddenly a noxious aroma took over the suite due to WWE superstar Chelsea Green, who lost a Dumpster Match to MiChin the night before. Watch below.

WWE Bad Blood 2024 was a major event, as it also included the return of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Rocky had not been seen in the WWE since the night after Wrestlemania 40, where he told WWE Champion Cody Rhodes that their story was “just beginning.” His return was significant as he appeared directly after Rhodes and his cousin Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu with the help of the returning Jimmy Uso. With there being a major divide in the Anoa’i Bloodline, Rock’s return left many wondering how he would feel about Reigns teaming up with Rhodes and which side he would align with.

The night also featured an instant classic Hell In A Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre, which Punk ended up winning. The two had been feuding since January after McIntyre injured Punk. In the ensuing months, Punk would ruin McIntyre’s opportunity to become World Heavyweight Champion on three separate occasions.

They finally clashed in August at Summerslam, where McIntyre came out on top with Seth “Freakin'” Rollins as special guest referee. Punk got the victory in their second match, a four-corner strap match at Bash In Berlin. With the feud now finished, it will be interesting to see what direction each superstar goes in next.

Liv Morgan retained her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley with the help of a returning Raquel Rodriguez, Damian Priest defeated Finn Balor in a singles match, and Nia Jax retained her WWE Women’s Championship against Bayley, despite interference from the current Money In The Bank holder, Tiffany Stratton.
