Michael B. Jordan is in talks for the vampire buddy movie 'Blood Brothers'

Michael B. Jordan is looking to sink his teeth into MGM’s vampire movie, Blood Brothers.

The Fruitvale Station and Fantastic Four star is in negotiations to play one of the two lead roles in the action-comedy about two ageless, blood-drinking party guys whose friendship hits the skids until they have to save the world together, EW has confirmed. The Tracking Board first reported the news.

Although Blood Brothers has been published as a Dark Horse comic miniseries written by Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller, it originated as a screenplay by Etan Cohen (Men in Black 3). A director has yet to be named for the project.

Jordan, 28, first broke out as as a teenage drug dealer on The Wire and went on to roles in Friday Night Lights and Chronicle. He earned critical acclaim for his performance in Fruitvale Station, about the shooting of Oscar Grant by Oakland transit police, though his most recent movie, Fantastic Four, flamed out at the box office. Jordan will next be seen in the Rocky spinoff Creed.
