Michael Strahan Continues to Be Absent from 'GMA'
Michael Strahan's absence from Good Morning America continues as he missed shows on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
The 54-year-old co-anchor was absent from his regular spot, while his co-star Robin Roberts has also been away from the anchor's desk this week. Instead, their fellow co-worker George Stephanopoulos manned the desk with temporary hosts Linsey Davis and Rebecca Jarvis.
Strahan has not shared any information with fans on why he isn't at his regular post this week, but his daughter Isabella recently marked a huge milestone in her cancer battle as she completed chemotherapy. He was also missing from GMA at the start of June, with many assuming it was connected to his daughter's major health update.
His 20-year-old daughter, who has a twin sister named Sophia, shared the special moment with fans through her YouTube channel and a post on Instagram, as Strahan cheered her on, commenting on social media, "So proud of you and love you baby girl????."
Since then, Isabella has not shared another update yet, while Strahan was spotted at the 2024 Forbes Iconoclast Summit in New York City on June 20, speaking on a panel with Sonia Gardner, Lindsey Vonn and Randall Lane.
Strahan also had a positive message to share with his fans on social media this week, saying, "I stay in the moment, I enjoy the moment, but I always look forward to the next thing and I love to learn." The message accompanied a video for his Michael Strahan Brand, hinting at projects to come.
Along with Strahan, his co-host Roberts has also been absent from her normal seat on Good Morning America, although her reason is more clear.
The 63-year-old is currently enjoying time in Portugal, where she is broadcasting GMA on location. Her wife, Amber Laign, traveled with her, and the two appeared to enjoy some boat adventures, as she shared on her Instagram Stories.
