Michaela Jaé Rodriguez Brings the Heat in Leather Boots at Los Angeles Screening of ‘Skincare’

More from Footwear News

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez opted for a sleek pair of black leather boots while attending the Los Angeles screening of IFC Films’ “Skincare” at Brain Dead Studios Monday evening.

Pairing her footwear with a shimmery blazer dress and a matching bralette underneath, the boots were constructed with fine patent leather material, and characterized by an angular pointed-toe design on the toe box. Doused in a black shade that matched her outfit, the footwear was emphasized by a slightly slouchy construction throughout.

The boots were completed by a stiletto heel that likely ranged between 4 and 5 inches based on the actress’ previous appearances in towering shoes. She finished her look with her long tresses styled in a middle part and 1990s-inspired makeup.

Sharp shoes with a bit of extra height frequently make appearances within Rodriguez’s footwear wardrobe. For the Peabody Awards in Beverly Hills, Calif. in June, the actress appeared on the red carpet in a pair of black pointed-toe pumps that were crafted with a smooth suede upper, included an angular design on the toe box alongside a minimalistic look to further complement her outfit and a slender pump heel that likely measured between three to four inches in height.

This followed appearances at Apple TV+’s “Loot” Emmy FYC event in Los Angeles where she was spotted in a pair of patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps that featured a pointed toe, rounded vamp and a 4.7-inch stiletto heel. During a red carpet outing at The King’s Trust Gala Thursday in New York City, she was photographed wearing a pair of blush patent Louboutin “So Kate” red bottoms that also included a pointed design and a stiletto heel ranging between three to four inches in height.

Leather boots remain a classic styling option and a great investment piece for their luxury and versatility. Known for their ability to upgrade just about any outfit, many brands offer their take on the iconic staple including Steve Madden, Vince Camuto, Nine West and plenty of others.
