Michelle Pfeiffer and Matthew Fox Join Modern Day 'Yellowstone' Spinoff Series, 'The Madison'
While Kevin Costner has decided not to return to the Yellowstone universe, other blockbuster stars are headed to Taylor Sheridan's small screen world. Paramount announced that Michelle Pfeiffer will executive produce and star in the modern day Yellowstone spinoff series, The Madison. Most recently, they announced Matthew Fox would be starring opposite Pfeiffer in the new spinoff.
Originally titled 2024 to follow Sheridan's other dated spinoffs—1883, 1923, 1944—several A-list names have been bandied about to join The Madison.
Matthew McConaghey was attached at one point as a potential lead. With the announcement that Fox will star in the series, it's more likely McConaghey will have a guest role, if he appears at all. Kurt Russell is also in talks to join the cast.
We don't yet know much about Fox's role other than that he will play Paul, "a self-reliant bachelor who loves the outdoors."
Pfeiffer will play Stacy Clyburn, a Manhattan socialite who leaves the Big City after a plane crash kills both her husband and brother-in-law. She settles in the Madison River Valley in central Montana.

Other cast members that have been announced include Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller and Elle Chapman.
Garrett will play Abigail Reese and is best known for her role as Cloud, Tully's (Katherine Heigl) mother in Firefly Lane. Previous credits include The Good Doctor, The Rookie and Longmire.
Adams has been cast as Russell McIntosh and is known for playing Mike Ross on Suits. Previous credits include Sneaky Pete, and the television series of A League of Their Own and The Right Stuff.
Miller will play Bridgette Reese in the new series. She has appeared in My Best Friend's Exorcism, MacGyver, and War for the Planet of the Apes.
Chapman has been cast as Paige McIntosh. Previous credits include Shark Girl and A Man Called Otto.
Production on The Madison is slated to begin later this month, most likely after Yellowstone Season 5B wraps filming.
