Miley Cyrus struggles with final cuts on 'The Voice,' makes a surprising choice
Miley Cyrus was having a difficult time cutting her team in half on The Voice Wednesday night, thanks to some great performances. While trying to figure out who to keep, Miley jokingly asked, “Can I text my mom?”
Brooke Simpson started off the night with a powerful performance of “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” by James Brown. The other standout of the night was Janice Freeman, whose performance of “Fall For You” by Leela James had everyone falling for her. After those amazing performances, it was a no-brainer that Miley would choose those ladies to move to the Top 12. But her final spot wasn’t so easy.
It came down between Miley’s comeback artist, Karli Webster, who sang “Coat of Many Colors” by Miley’s Godmother, Dolly Parton; Adam Pearce, who she stole from Adam Levine; her country girl, Ashland Craft, and rocker chick Moriah Formica. And even though Moriah had the best performance of the four, Miley decided to keep it country with Craft. Miley said, “I came to Season 13 to become a country queen, and I want to share that crown with Ashland.”
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Voice free on Yahoo View.
