Milwaukee, Lakefront named among best beer cities and brewpubs by USA Today’s 10Best Readers' Choice Awards
USA Today released their 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for best beer cities in the country, and of course the Brew City made the list.
Milwaukee was ranked second, falling behind Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The cities on the list were selected by an expert panel and voted on by readers.
"Beer giant Miller Brewing put the city on the beer map, and a host of modern craft breweries and beer bars have maintained its legacy as an epic beer destination," an article announcing winners said.
One of Milwaukee's breweries, Lakefront Brewery, was also ranked second on a 10Best list for best brewpubs in the U.S.
"Its restaurant, Beer Hall, is cooking up favorite Milwaukee fare — including brats, fried pickles, and cheese curds — to go along with a tap list of some two dozen beers," the top 10 list said.
USA Today readers named Dewey Beer Co. in Dewey Beach, Delaware, the country's best brew pub.
