The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare First Reactions
Guy Ritchie's latest is prepping to hit theaters this week, and first reactions are slowly creeping in as audiences are getting their first previews of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
Following the British military as they strike against German forces behind enemy lines during World War II, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is an action-comedy starring Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes.
Ritchie's having a busy year, having dropped his new series The Gentlemen on Netflix just last month to rave reviews, but has The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare hit the same with audiences?
The first reactions are a mixture of praise and criticism, ranging from "it lacks genuine depth and character development" all the way to people saying the film "is the most fun you'll have in theaters".
THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE finds Guy Ritchie wanting to make his version of Inglourious Basterds and while it can be amusing at times, it lacks genuine depth & character development electing for a suave & irreverent approach that has very little to say. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is the most fun you'll have in theaters! Uncontrollablbly clever, unconventionally awesome action, and the most unmissable film of the year so far. Guy Ritchie doesn't miss and Eiza Gonzalez is INCREDIBLE. She steals and elevates every scene pic.twitter.com/I828bSV5pE

It seems Ritchie's latest will divide audiences depending on how they like their movies, but here's a look at a few more early reactions to get a taste of what people are saying.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare felt like a Bond movie in WWII with a great deal of violence. The cast seemed have a blast. The movie brings out the charismatic and funny side of Henry Cavill we've rarely seen. Why isn't he the next Bond? Eiza Gonzalez is the scene stealer pic.twitter.com/NlFgEpNEZm

Thrills and laughs were had watching Henry Cavill, Eiza Gonzalez, Alan Ritchson, and company being badass and k?lling N@zis. I was on edge of my seat from beginning to end. I absolutely loved the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and I can't wait to see it again when it releases. https://t.co/NMRMamBQVv pic.twitter.com/DEXev0dl7w

THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE: Guy Ritchie plays fast & loose with the facts which allows for his motley crew to shine. Cavill’s a hoot & Ritchson is violently adorable, but it’s Babs Olusanmokun’s & Eiza Eiza González’s arcs that are the most fun to watch. A total blast! pic.twitter.com/6GW69UBIcg

Advanced screening of the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Laughed out loud, sharp, tight, easy, and flowed so well. Enjoyed it from start to finish. That cast is pure charisma.
All of them could use this as their audition for the next Bond and be successful.— Joseph Oteng (@drjotengii) April 14, 2024

THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE
Another suave & violent tough guy entry for Guy Ritchie. Henry Cavill chews up every moment. Sleek editing & thunderous score. Eiza González steals it with a sexy & deadly grip on the film’s throat. Poor lighting for finale but fun throughout pic.twitter.com/bJlQrzmjIu— Anthony (@AnAntLife) April 14, 2024
