Miranda Lambert Pauses Performance Mid-Song to Break Up Crowd Fight: 'I Will Come Down There'

Miranda Lambert was ready to deal with a situation herself when a fight broke out in the crowd at one of her shows.

During a recent performance in Texas, Lambert was singing her popular song "Tin Man," an emotional track from her 2016 album The Weight of These Things, when some fans got aggressive with one another and started to fight.

A fan who was in attendance shared a clip of the moment when Lambert stopped singing to address the situation. After checking if there was an injury or someone fainted, she asked, "Are y'all fighting? During this song? 'Cause I will come down there."

She went on, sternly telling everyone, "We're not doing that today." While security guards searched for the people involved, Lambert noticed that it was two women fighting and said, "He ain't worth it, it's fine. It's always the girls. We always get riled up and start punching each other. Why?"

Lambert then asked security to remove the fans involved so the show could continue, jokingly telling them to "Throw her over your shoulder" to get the women out of the venue.

A fan saw the encounter and declared, "Another reason why I am a Ran Fan," while another simply wrote, "Queen," referring to Lambert.

The singer is currently touring around North America, playing hits like "The House That Built Me," "Gunpowder & Lead," and "Bluebird," as well as newer songs like "Wranglers," which is her first single leading up to a new album.

While speaking with People in May, Lambert shared a little sneak peek at what fans can expect from her highly-anticipated new music, saying, "I made this record in Texas. I hadn't made an album in Texas since I was 18... I'm really excited to share [the new music]. It's very country. You can tell we made it in Texas."

Lambert's last album, Palomino, was released in 2022. There is no set release date for the new album yet.
