Mitch Hedberg fan pays tribute to the late comedian with a doughnut
Mitch Hedberg, who died in 2005 at age 37, would have turned 48 Wednesday. One fan paid tribute to the late comedian by placing a single doughnut on his grave marker — along with a receipt, of course.
The doughnut and receipt are a reference to one of Hedberg’s more famous jokes, where he ponders why he would need a receipt after purchasing a doughnut. “I just cannot imagine a scenario where I’d have to prove that I bought a doughnut,” he says in the bit, which you can watch below.
