Model Presley Gerber, 19-year-old son of Cindy Crawford, charged with DUI

Presley Gerber, the 19-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, was charged by the L.A. District Attorney’s office Thursday for driving under the influence after he was taken into custody for the incident in December.

The D.A.’s office confirmed that Gerber was charged on one count of DUI and another for driving with a blood alcohol content of .08, according to TMZ. The legal limit in California is .08; however, if a person is under the age of 21, the limit is .01. If he is found guilty, the two misdemeanors could mean a six-month jail sentence and a $1,000 fine.

The model was initially pulled over on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving on Dec. 30. Gerber was allegedly speeding in his Tesla just before 4 a.m. in Beverly Hills. He reportedly failed a field sobriety test police administered after pulling him over.

At the time, his representative said that Gerber had no criminal record and had never been arrested. He added, “Presley Gerber takes this very seriously and is taking the necessary steps to address the allegations.”

On Jan. 1, Gerber released a video on Instagram sharing his new tattoo. The caption read, “Happy New Year… to bigger and better things.”

The teen made his modeling debut in June 2016 when he appeared alongside the Hadid siblings — Gigi, Bella and Anwar — at a Moschino Resort fashion show. Since then he has walked the catwalk for Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger and Prabal Gurung. He has also appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Omega and others.

Gerber’s arraignment is scheduled for March 13.
