Model Sues Diddy For Alleged Drugging And Sexual Assault
Just when things seemed to be at their worst for Diddy, another woman has come forward with a lawsuit. A model is now claiming that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by the mogul in the early 2000s.
TMZ obtained documents revealing the woman, Crystal McKinney, attended a Men’s Fashion Week event at Cipriani Downtown in 2003. She met the Bad Boy founder at the event, and was invited back to his studio, where they consumed alcoholic beverages and smoked joints. McKinney called the joint “very powerful” as she felt like she was “floating” after taking a hit. She believes that it was laced with a narcotic.
McKinney claims that the “I Need A Girl” artist urged her to follow him to the bathroom, and it was there that he began to force himself on her with kisses. At one point, he attempted to push her head down to his crotch area and told her to “Suck it.” She refused, but the former Making The Band star continued his efforts and forced oral sex, she claims.
She attempted to walk away only to begin feeling woozy, and eventually lost consciousness. She later woke up in a taxi and came to terms with the fact that she was sexually assaulted. McKinney claims that she attempted to continue her modeling career, but was blackballed from the industry, which led to her feeling depressed and attempting suicide in 2004.
Despite over 20 years passing since this incident, McKinney claims that she “knew she had a moral obligation to speak up” after seeing Cassie and other women file lawsuits against Diddy. She is seeking damages via litigation, though the number was not specified in the court documents.
This latest lawsuit against the former REVOLT chairman comes after CNN shared footage of him assaulting Cassie in a now-closed Los Angeles hotel in 2016. Puff can be seen grabbing his former partner by the neck as she attempted to get on an elevator and throwing her to the ground. He kicked her twice, gathered her belongings, and tried to drag her back to their room, all while holding up a towel wrapped around his waist. Later in the video, he can be seen throwing objects at the “Long Way 2 Go” singer.
Diddy shared an apology video days after the footage surfaced. “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life,” he said. “Sometimes you gotta do that. I was f**ked up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now.”
Social media users were immediately critical of his apology because he did not specifically address Cassie. This was by design, as their November 2023 settlement included a strict NDA forbidding both parties from saying each other’s names publicly. The father of seven even had to submit his apology video to his legal team so they could review it and ensure he upheld the terms of the settlement.
