The plot of Mom revolves around the Sabarwal family. Devki Sabarwal is a biology teacher adored by her students. While attending a Valentine’s Day party, Arya is sexually assaulted by fellow student Mohit, his cousin Charles, their friend Jagan, and security guard Baburam. Arya’s distraught father and Devki initially try to bring the perpetrators to justice, but the case is ultimately dismissed due to the lack of evidence. Disillusioned with the justice system, Devki becomes a personification of vengeance against Mohit and the others.
The cast of Mom includes Sridevi as Devki Sabarwal, Akshaye Khanna as Inspector Mathew Francis, Sajal Aly as Arya, and Adnan Siddiqui as Anand. Mom also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Daya Shankar “DK” Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav as Mohit.
