Moneybagg Yo opening second restaurant in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo is opening a second restaurant in downtown Memphis.
Construction is underway inside Cache 42 Downtown at 97 North Main Street. It’s located on the ground floor of the Renew Riverview Apartments between Jefferson Avenue and Adams Avenue.
Moneybagg Yo opened Cache 42 on Hack Cross in April of 2023. The restaurant is described as an urban upscale dining experience that features exclusive entrees and signature cocktails.
Wanda Russell owns Wrapzody Gourmet Wrapz Deli at 99 North Main. She had her wedding reception at the Hacks Cross location last year and was thrilled to learn Cache 42 Downtown was moving into the neighborhood.
“I think we need something on the north end to kind of balance out everything we already have. So, I’m excited,” said Russell.
Russell has owned Wrapzody for 16 years but said Cache 42 Downtown could introduce more downtown visitors to her business.
Moneybagg Yo’s ‘A Gangsta’s Pain’ went No. 1. He’s back to soundtrack your summer with ‘Speak Now.’
Moneybagg Yo was born and raised in South Memphis. In 2024, he dropped his fifth studio album, “Speak Now.”
There is no word on when Cache 42 Downtown will officially open its doors.
