Cyclist Lance Armstrong admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired on OWN’s Oprah’s Next Chapter Jan. 17 and 18. Winfrey appeared on CBS This Morning Jan. 15 and said that ”the entire interview was difficult” but she was ”satisfied by the answers.”

Here’s one guy who’s immune to Bieber fever: Moshe Benabou, an ex-bodyguard for Justin Bieber, is suing the 18-year-old singer for back wages, according to papers filed Jan. 10 in L.A. Benabou claims Bieber punched him repeatedly, then fired him. Bieber’s reps have called the accusations meritless.

Deaths
Character actor Ned Wertimer, 89, who played the doorman on The Jeffersons, died on Jan. 2 in Sherman Oaks, Calif., of complications from a fall he suffered late last year…. Reddit pioneer Aaron Swartz, 26 — who was facing federal charges for allegedly hacking into MIT’s journal archives — died in Brooklyn on Jan. 11 in an apparent suicide.
