‘Monsters: The Lyle And Erik Menendez Story’ Is Netflix’s Most-Watched Weekly Title As ‘Nobody Wants This’ Debuts In Second Place For TV
Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story saw strong audience growth in its first full week on Netflix, tallying 19.5 million views from September 23-29.
That’s up pretty significantly from the 12.3 million it managed in its debut weekend, making it No. 1 in TV and the streamer’s most-watched title of the week.

However, it’s still down quite a bit from its predecessor, Dahmer: Monster – The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which was already becoming one of Netflix’s biggest hits ever by this point after its release. That series racked up about 300M views in its first full week on Netflix, which would translate to around 33M “views” by the streamer’s current metric.
Nobody Wants This took second place, putting up a nice 10.3M views in its first four days post-premiere. Meanwhile, The Perfect Couple is still going strong with 6M views, good enough for third place.
Season 4 of Emily in Paris came in at No. 5 with 4.2M views. The series’ performance since the second half of Season 4 debuted has been interesting. There’s been an obvious retention struggle, as the series never re-approached the viewership after Season 4A debuted, and it has steady and quickly fallen in the three weeks since 4B was made available.
In fourth place on the TV list was Mr. McMahon with 4.9M views for the documentary that details the career of former WWE founder, chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval, the comedian’s final comedy special, where she addresses the backlash she received following claims of creating a toxic work environment on her daily show, debuted at No. 9 with 2.4M views.
It was a quiet week for films as Rebel Ridge held onto the top spot but only put up another 8.9M views. Uglies was in second place with 8.7M views, while the documentary Jailbreak: Love on the Run came in third with 7.6M views.
