There are plenty of sneaker releases on the way for Air Jordan fans to look forward to for the holidays, but the calendar may need some adjustments. According to new reports, a number of Air Jordan Retro styles originally rumored to be released this holiday season are now canceled.
New information shared on social media by @zsneakerheadz and @mrunloved1s states that seven different Air Jordans which were slated for holiday arrivals have now been scrapped.
The most anticipated sneaker of the canceled bunch was Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low in a new “Pale Vanilla” look. Also included in this batch of nixed drops is the “Black Cat” Air Jordan 5, “Brown Cement” Air Jordan 3, “Dark Mocha” Air Jordan 1 Low ’85, “Medium Olive” Air Jordan 1 High, “Fire Red” Air Jordan 6 and the “Chutney” Air Jordan 13.
A commonality between all of these purportedly scrapped sneakers is that physical in-hand images of the shoes had yet to surface online. Each of the seven pairs had only been revealed via speculative mock-up renderings.

Other recent Air Jordan cancellations of note include Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low in “Dark Pony” and “Shy Pink,” both of which were expected to be released during spring 2025.
It’s worth noting that although the holiday ’24 launches for these pairs have reportedly been called off, it does not necessarily mean that they won’t be released at a later point in time.
Despite these cancelations, there are several anticipated Air Jordans on the way for the holidays and beyond. In November, the “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 will be rereleased and the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” returns in December.
Looking ahead to ’25, Jordan Brand is expected to pull out all the stops as it celebrates its 40th anniversary. The most anticipated pair is arguably the Undefeated x Air Jordan 4, but there’s also a true-to-form Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Bred,” a new Union x Air Jordan 1 High and a Reimagined “Black/Metallic” Air Jordan 5, among others.
