Morgan Wallen speaks out after Nashville arrest, 'I'm not proud... I accept responsibility'
Morgan Wallen has released a statement addressing his April 7 arrest after police said he threw a chair off the rooftop of a newly opened Nashville honky-tonk.
The country singer, 30, is facing three counts of reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct in connection with the incident at Chief's on Broadway earlier this month.
On Friday evening, Wallen took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to "make amends."
He said, "I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility."
In another post, he continued, "I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW"

Why was Morgan Wallen arrested?
In a police report, Wallen was accused of throwing the chair from the bar's roof onto the street below just before 11 p.m. on April 7.
Nashville police officers were standing on the sidewalk nearby and saw the chair hit the ground a few feet away, the report said.
Officers viewed the bar's security footage and saw Wallen "lunging and throwing an object over the roof," the report reads. It also notes that several witnesses reported that Wallen laughed afterwards.
After confirming the singer's arrest, Wallen's lawyer, Worrick Robinson of Worrick Robinson Law, told The Tennessean Wallen was "cooperating fully with authorities."
He was released from the Metro Nashville jail on a $15,250 bond at around 3:30 a.m. on April 9.
Wallen is due in court on May 3, which is also one of the dates of his three planned concerts at Nashville's Nissan Stadium.
Will Morgan Wallen still perform in Nashville on May 3?
At this time, no tour dates have changed and Wallen is still scheduled to perform in Nashville on May 2-4.
Has Morgan Wallen been arrested before?
On May 24, 2020, Wallen was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct outside of Kid Rock's bar on Broadway in downtown Nashville.
He had been kicked out of the bar for "kicking glass items," and once he was outside on the street, Wallen got into verbal arguments with passersby while officers watched, Metro Police said at that time.
"Officers gave (Wallen) several opportunities to walk away with his friends, but he refused to walk away," Metro Police said at the time, noting that Wallen was "a danger to himself and the public."
