Morgan Wallen teases Knoxville concert in video for Tennessee baseball's national championship

Morgan Wallen is one of the biggest Tennessee baseball fans out there.

The country music singer was in Omaha, Nebraska to see the Vols win the second two games of the College World Series championship. Wallen recorded a special message for the team, and he also teased a concert in Knoxville as a thank you for hosting him.

"I just wanted to say that you and the university have been extremely hospitable to me and my family and my friends, especially in Omaha," Wallen said. "So I want to return the favor, and I'm going to return the favor. I can't tell you exactly how I'm going to do that just yet, but here in a couple or few weeks, I'll be able to let you know what I mean. So just stay tuned and I'll keep y'all posted on that."

Wallen watched Game 3 of the championship series in a box with football coach Josh Heupel, men's basketball coach Rick Barnes and Vols legend Peyton Manning. Everyone in the box was on their feet watching the final out of Game 3 when Tennessee beat Texas A&M 6-5 at Charles Schwab Field.

"I just wanted to shoot y'all a video and say congratulations on winning the national championship," Wallen said. "I was there in attendance for a couple of the games and just wanted to say, it was absolutely electric up there, up in the box even, so I can only imagine the way that you guys feel being on that field and bringing home the first championship in Tennessee history for the baseball team. It's a huge deal."

He also offered an apology to Christian Moore, who was searching for Wallen on the field after they won the championship. A video on X showed Moore asking where Morgan Wallen is, but Wallen said he had to go home after.

"CMO, I'm sorry I wasn't on the field after the game, man," Wallen said. "I had to get back home to see my son. But you guys, man, y'all make me proud to be from Tennessee, make me proud to represent the Vols. Enjoy this moment, be proud of it, and I will y'all luck in whatever you're doing next."

Wallen, who's from Sneedville, Tennessee, native is friends with Vols coach Tony Vitello and graduated from Gibbs High School, where he was a pitcher and shortstop in high school.
