Nelson Coates reveals he’s “worked for many years” with “The Morning Show” producer and director, Mimi Leder. The production designer says, “It’s been super interesting to do a deep dive into New York and convince my New York friends that we’re filming in New York.” Nelson jokingly refers to the show as “wealth porn” that reveals how the other half lives, “but the journey was really about coming up with an authentic group of characters that are dealing with real life issues.”

Victoria Thomas was “really proud” to be nominated for her casting direction. “It’s a great team of creative people,” she explains, “and I’m glad to see everybody’s work is being acknowledged.” Victoria calls her process a “team effort” and everyone needs to agree on “the type of characters we’re going for.” She explains casting directors “juggle a lot” because “you’re casting, then you’re making deals for actors, you’re talking to agents…talking to producers…scheduling. It’s complicated.”

Nicole Venables, Jennifer Petrovich and Janine Thompson celebrate their hairstyling nomination for the Season 3 opener, “The Kármán Line.” Thompson is the personal hairstylist for Jennifer Aniston, and explains, “Her character transitions so much in the storyline, we really wanted to show it through her hair.” Although Alex Levy is a professional, “we have to see the woman also.” Petrovich says their group success comes from “listening to the character” and “reading the character on the page” to bring each one to life.
