Motley Crue will headline Milwaukee's Summerfest, band's first concert announced for 2024
When M?tley Crüe went on their farewell tour in 2014, Summerfest was one of the first stops.
Clearly, the farewell didn't stick — the rockers co-headlined American Family Field with Def Leppard as part of a stadium tour last year — and now Crüe are coming back to Summerfest again.
Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5 — who's replaced Mick Mars, who has had a nasty split from the band — will headline the American Family Insurance Amphitheater during the Milwaukee festival on June 21. For now, it appears to be a one-off gig, with no other tour dates yet revealed around the show — or at all for 2024, at least so far.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the box office (200 N. Harbor Drive) and summerfest.com. Prices have yet to be announced but will include Summerfest general admission June 21.
It's the third amphitheater show revealed for the 2024 festival, running June 20 to 22, June 27 to 29 and July 4 to 6. Country star Kane Brown will kick things off June 20, and Tyler Childers headlines the amphitheater June 28.
