Her latest watch was the Malayalam survival drama Manjummel Boys, which impressed her extensively.
Manjummel Boys broke the records of the Malayalam film industry and was later dubbed in various languages. The heart-wrenching survival drama won many hearts with its story based on a real-life incident. Many celebrities have praised the film, and the latest one is Mrunal Thakur.
Mrunal Thakur heaps praise on Manjummel Boys
Taking to her Instagram stories, Mrunal Thakur praised Manjummel Boys. She tagged director Chidambaram and mentioned how emotional the movie was. She wrote, “WHAT A FILM; OMG Rollercoaster ride of emotions!” The Hi Nanna star further penned, “You boys absolutely nailed it; Congratulations to the entire cast and crew.”
Manjummel Boys follows the story of the 2006 incident that took place at the infamous Guna Caves, aka Devil’s Kitchen, of Tamil Nadu. A group of friends from Kerala visited the caves where Kamal Haasan’s Guna film was shot. When they cross the safety zone, one of them falls deep into the caves.
All attempts of the group went in vain to rescue their friend. As a result, they go beyond expectations to save him. Soubin Shahir plays a crucial role in the movie. Moreover, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Khalid Rahman, Ganapathi S Poduval, Lal Jr, and others play crucial parts.
The movie recently made its digital debut on DisneyPlus Hotstar in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Its official synopsis reads, “Manjummel Boys’ carefree adventure takes a dangerous turn when one of them plunges into Guna Caves, igniting a test of unity in a gripping fight for survival.”
