The 2024 VMA Nominations Are Here and They Forgot It's Brat Summer
The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) has set the stage for some of the greatest moments in pop-culture history: Madonna kissing Britney, Kanye interrupting Taylor, Beyoncé revealing her 2011 pregnancy with a literal mic drop. What can we expect from this year's ceremony? Perhaps Taylor and Travis will arrive on the red carpet together? Maybe Charli XCX will debut her latest collab?

When are the 2024 VMAs?
This year's Video Music Awards will take place Sept. 10, 2024.

Where will the 2024 VMAs be held?
The awards show that began at Radio City Music Hall in 1984 will return to New York to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The 2024 VMAs will air live from UBS Arena, the home of the New York Islanders, in Belmont Park.
“We’re excited to bring this year’s VMAs to UBS Arena, one of the country’s newest and most cutting edge venues,” Bruce Gillmer, Chief Content Officer, Music, Paramount+, said in a statement. “Celebrating one of music’s biggest nights with the incredible, robust New York area fans is something we’ve been looking forward to since the moment last year’s show ended.”
The VMAs were held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in 2021 and at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey in 2022 and 2023.

How to vote for the 2024 VMAs
Beginning on Aug. 6, 2024, cans can vote fo their favorites across 15 categories at vote.mtv.com. Voting will remain opening until Aug. 30, 2024 for all categories but "Best New Artist" which will remain active into the show on Sept. 10, 2024.
