Naomi Scott Does Dark Glamour in Off-the-Runway Black Crinkle Gown and Trending Slingback Shoes for ‘Smile 2’ Premiere

Naomi Scott has been keeping her wardrobe dark for her promotion of “Smile 2.” The actress, who stars in the thriller, was on the press tour for the new film last night in Los Angeles. She first hit up “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where she wore a blood red ensemble and a pair of platform boots. Then, she changed into an all-black look featuring a wrinkled gown and a pair of trendy patent leather shoes.
The footwear was Gianvito Rossi’s Ribbon stiletto. Rossi’s Ribbon is a slingback silhouette, which is one of 2024’s foremost footwear trends. It features a thin, minimal toe strap across the foot. A D’Orsay style shoe, the sandal also includes a thin slingback strap at the back. The latter strap fastens with a small gold buckle.
First introduced for the fall 2021 season, Rossi sells the Ribbon stiletto in a variety of colors for $895. The shoe is a barely-there style that has been previously worn by Ayo Edebiri as well as Dua Lipa, Gillian Anderson and Dakota Fanning this year.

Scott and stylist Karla Welch paired the black patent leather shoes with a crinkle fabric Jason Wu dress. The black off-the-shoulder, tea length option showed in the brand’s spring 2025 show during New York Fashion Week just last month.
It’s not only slingbacks that have been popular this year, so has Gianvito Rossi as a brand. The Italian label, which celebrated the ten year anniversary of its Portofino sandal earlier this year, has been outfitting quite a number of celebrities. This has included names like Sarah Jessica Parker, who wore the Portofino late last week to the New York City Ballet’s Fall Fashion gala; Rihanna, who debuted a previously unseen Montecarlo sandal for A$AP Rocky’s birthday dinner; and Lady Gaga who arrived at the Venice Film FEstival in a pair of chic suede pumps from the brand.
