Naomi Watts had a very special guest with her at a recent red carpet appearance: Her 17-year-old son Sasha Schreiber. The two were quite the eye-catching pair as they posed for photographers ahead of a screening of Watts’ new movie, The Friend. And not just because they were twinning in stunning black ensembles, but because Sasha — who Watts shares with ex Liev Schreiber — absolutely towers over his mom.

The blond-haired, blueish-green-eyed teen is a solid head taller than her mom — and that’s when she’s wearing what look to be sizeable heels. Things really could have gone either way for Sasha when it comes to his height. His mom is 5’5″ and his dad is 6’3″. So while the 17-year-old may have his mom’s hair and eyes, he definitely has his dad’s height.

The actors also share a 16-year-old daughter Kai, and she might also be taller than her mom too. It’s a little harder to say when the mother-daughter duo both step out in heels, but it’s definitely possible. And who knows, maybe a growth spurt is on the way! If it’s not, though, there’s nothing wrong with matching her mom’s height (*says the 5’4″ writer*).

In August, Kai made a super-rare public appearance on a red carpet with her brother (who might have been wearing the exact same ‘fit as last night), her dad, and her stepmom Taylor Schreiber, and the teen was the spitting image of Watts.

In a 2020 interview with Hamptons magazine, Watts was overwhelmingly relatable when she talked about the reality of trying to be “supermom.”

“Sometimes you feel like you’re a supermom — baking cake, playing board games and teaching them how to use the vacuum cleaner; you’re just fully on top of it,” she said, per People. “And other times, you’re like, ‘Oh God, just let me hand them the devices and let me get done what I need to do,’ you know?”

“That’s just the reality, and you have to forgive yourself on the days that you need to take that time for yourself and create that space,” she continued.
