Naomie Harris Thinks Daniel Craig Is Coming Back to Play Bond – and She'll Bet You Money on It
Naomie Harris was promoting her raved-about performance in Moonlight (more on that to come) this week when we asked her about Daniel Craig’s on-again, off-again stance on returning to the role of James Bond for a fourth time.
“What’s on-again? I’m looking for anything on-again, please!” asked an excited Harris (watch above), who hadn’t yet heard Craig’s recent comments that he has “the best job in the world” and “would miss the role terribly” if he left it, leading fans and media to speculate that the British actor could in fact play 007 again. (After playing the super-spy in Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre, Craig famously said he’d rather “slit his wrists” than reprise the role, a story Harris opined was “blown out of proportion.”)

But what does Harris, who has appeared as field agent-turned-secretary Eve Moneypenny in Craig’s last two Bond outings, think he’ll do?
“I would say he’s going to come back,” Harris said before upping the ante. “I might even bet you. Let’s say $5?”
It’s a bet we gladly took, even if we thought Harris might have a little more intel on the situation. “That’s the thing, I don’t have any inside knowledge,” said Harris, who filmed Moonlight over a grueling three-day stretch in Florida while on a promotional break from Spectre. “Everyone keeps thinking that I do, but I don’t, seriously.”
But she will be $5 richer if she’s right.
Moonlight opens Oct. 21. Look for our interview with Harris on the film next week.
