Natalia Got Homophobic During Pride Month On General Hospital…And Ava Caught Her
Natalia hasn’t kept her feelings hidden about her daughter’s sexuality and relationship on General Hospital. On the first episode of Pride Month on June 3, 2024, Natalia got more homophobic than ever… and Ava caught her.
Flighty And Unconventional
When Natalia (Eva LaRue) came to visit Sonny (Maurice Benard) at his penthouse, she was instead greeted by Ava (Maurice Benard), who was in the middle of recording audio related to the gallery. The two talked about the wedding (get the inside scoop on the wedding’s fashion secrets), and when Ava commented on how happy Kristina (Kate Mansi) and Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) are together and that Kristina was previously a problem child, Natalia took that as an opportunity for honesty. “They’re not really a normal couple, are they?” Natalia asked after calling them “unconventional,” noting them being a same-sex couple with one being a surrogate mother.
“Is it because they’re gay?” Ava decided to flat-out ask. Natalia insisted she supports Blaze, but went on to insult the entire LGBTQ+ community this Pride Month by calling gay people “flighty” and remarking, “or whatever alphabet suit they’re calling themselves these days.”
Caught On Tape
Ava called her out on her ignorance, saying it’s 2024 and most people are probably okay with both topics. Natalia asserted that Kristina’s pregnancy and troubled past could harm Blaze’s career, and Ava told her that was an unfortunate way to look at Kristina’s surrogacy.
once Natalia headed out, Ava picked up her phone and replayed the recorded audio of their conversation, catching every homophobic word Natalia said.
With Ava already jealous of Natalia’s closeness to Sonny, what do you think she’ll do with her recording? Let us know in the comments?
