Actress Natalie Portman looked chic in black in Paris for fashion week this morning. The long time face of Christian Dior attended the Stella McCartney spring 2025 presentation on Monday wearing wardrobe staples: a little black dress, black tights and black pumps.
Portman’s dress was a strapless number featuring ruching. With a sweet heart neckline, the design included two seams down the front, pulling in the silhouette tight and causing the fabric to bunch. The silhouette cut off at the upper thigh and Portman decided to go without jewelry. This left her arms and neck completely bare but she covered her legs in a pair of largely opaque black tights, a fall staple.
The shoes were another classic item. Portman stepped into the Stella McCartney Elsa pump. The shoe features a slightly elongate, pointed-toe and is in pitch black. Made in Italy, the slip on court shoe is made from non-leather materials (polyurethane) as McCartney is a vegan company.
The footwear sports a bright red lining that is minimally visible while worn. The lining includes padding as well as moisture-wicking technology. As a woman-owned brand, McCartney’s designs are often viewed as sensible and wearer friendly. The additional padding as the more modest, sculpted heel of about three and a half inches underscore this.

Stella McCartney sells the Elsa pointed-toe pump for $860.
Mcartney’s shoe business is both robust and well-loved by celebrities. It spans pumps like the Elsa and vegan fur options as well as loafers and platform shoes that include platform pumps, derbies and boots. McCartney also produces sneakers and a variety of collaborations with the likes of Hunter and Adidas.
