Natasha Lyonne Says This Poker Face Guest Star Was "Wild" to Work With
Peacock's new series Poker Face is chock-full of guest stars.
And while star Natasha Lyonne gets to act alongside Adrien Brody, Chlo? Sevigny, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and more on the mystery series from Knives Out director Rian Johnson, there's one celeb she had just as much fun with on camera as she did directing them behind the camera.
"Nick Nolte is in it," Natasha, who directed and co-wrote the series' eighth episode, said on the Jan. 18 episode of E! News, "and so, he was pretty sensational to get to work with."
While the episode features the likes of guest stars Cherry Jones, Luis Guzmán and Rowan Blanchard, the Russian Doll star noted that she was the most starstruck by Nolte.
She added, "It was pretty wild to get to direct Nick Nolte."
When she and the rest of the cast weren't busy on set, Natasha shared that they "went gambling quite a lot," adding that she and Rian even took a weekend trip to Las Vegas together.
As for her favorite casino games? "I do like Poker, but it's pricey," the 43-year-old told E! News. "I like Roulette because it's dumb, it's random. Benjamin Bratt taught me how to play Craps. That was exciting. We won big."
But rather than pull a poker face, Natasha shared her secret winning strategy when it comes to games. "I always look like, 'Gee. I'm weird. I don't know what's going on,'" she explained, "and then, I take you for all your worth."
Poker Face isn't the first project of Rian's that Natasha's been a part of. She made a brief cameo in the recent Knives Out sequel Glass Onion, playing a game of Among Us with Daniel Craig's detective Benoit Blanc, the late Angela Lansbury and Stephen Sondheim, as well as Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, over Zoom.
But when it comes to whether she will appear in the film series' third installment, she stated, "Rian's here tonight, so he's probably the guy to ask," going on to note that "it was a great honor" to be a part of the film.
Hear more from the star in the full interview above. Tune in to E! News tonight at 11:30 p.m. on E! for today's biggest entertainment stories.
The first four episodes of Poker Face premiere Thursday, Jan. 26, on Peacock, followed by new episodes dropping on Thursday.
