The new comedy, which is slated to air Tuesdays at 8/7c this fall, is a mockumentary set at “an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity,” per the network’s official description.
Wendi McLendon-Covey (The Goldbergs) stars as the hospital’s executive director Joyce, with David Alan Grier (The Carmichael Show, Joe Pickett) playing emergency doctor Ron and Allison Tolman (Fargo) as supervising nurse Alex. The supporting cast includes Josh Lawson (House of Lies), Kahyun Kim (American Gods), Mekki Leeper (The Sex Lives of College Girls) and Kaliko Kauahi (Superstore). Justin Spitzer (Superstore) will serve as co-creator and executive producer.
St. Denis Medical earned an official series order in June 2023, but was held off of last season’s primetime schedule due to last year’s strikes. A premiere date has not yet been set.
