Neil Young will headline a festival in in Lake Hughes, California, with Stephen Stills, Masanga, and more to be announced on the bill. Taking place on October 5, the Harvest Moon day festival will also include an abundance of family-friendly activities, all backdropped by the camp of the Painted Turtle, one of two children’s charities that, along with the Bridge School, will receive all proceeds from the event.
From 1986 to 2016, Neil and Pegi Young hosted annual Bridge School Benefit concerts in California. In 2019, not long after Pegi Young’s death, Neil Young played the first Harvest Moon festival to benefit the Painted Turtle and the Bridge School.
Earlier this year, Neil Young & Crazy Horse canceled tour dates due to illness. Young will make his return to the stage at Farm Aid later this month.
