Nelly celebrated the big 5-0 with two parties in Atlanta and Las Vegas.

The southern bashment was a Western theme to coincide with Halloween. Held at Guardian Works in Midtown Atlanta, Nelly was surrounded by his wife Ashanti, older children Cornell, Chanelle Haynes, adopted children Shawn and Sydney Thomas, his in-laws Tina and Ken-Kaide, as well as a host of friends.

Chingy, Jermaine Dupri, Bryan-Michael Cox, T.I., Lil Zane, Yung Joc, Murphy Lee, Big Boi, and Polow da Don were among the esteemed guests who helped Nelly ring in his milestone birthday. Per The Atlanta Voice, the rapper expressed the importance of this party in particular. “This is a big one. I didn’t really get a chance to have birthday parties until I could afford to throw them myself,” he noted.

Big Gipp, who also was in attendance, praised Nelly to the outlet. “He’s been a big big part of my career,” he expressed. “He did so much and we changed the culture, so to be able to be a part of [‘Grillz‘], it helped me become a legend.”

The Sin City shindig was far more luxurious. Both Nelly and Ashanti rocked metallic gold looks as they celebrated his birthday in style. He was surprised with an appearance from his Real Husbands Of Hollywood co-star, Kevin Hart.

“50 don’t come often. You lucky as hell that you can make it there. You supposed to celebrate it right and I’ll be damned if I miss my n***a event,” Hart shared. At both events, Ashanti naturally led the crowd in singing happy birthday to her husband.
