Netflix Casts Kureha and Hiriluk in Live-Action One Piece

Netflix's One Piece season two entered production in South Africa last month, and we now have some new casting news about who we can expect to see in the roles of Dr. Kureha and Dr. Hiriluk in the highly anticipated follow-up to the show, which dropped last year on Netflix.

Jamie Lee Curtis was once circling the role of Dr. Kureha, but as her schedule didn't allow for it, it has now been revealed by Netflix that Katey Sagal (Futurama, Married With Children, Sons of Anarchy) has been cast and will appear in the role instead.

Fans seem to be ecstatic about the addition of Sagal, giving the casting team their due respect across social media.

It was also revealed that Mark Harelik (42, Trumbo, Jurassic Park III) will join the cast in the role of Dr. Hiriluk, a thief-turned-doctor as Drum Island.

Returning cast members from season one include I?aki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Michael Dorman, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, Ilia Isorelys Paulino, and Jeff Ward.

One Piece season two news is expected at Netflix Geeked Week next month, but for now, the upcoming season is deep into production, with its new stars set to join the fun.
