Netflix shared Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 photos, featuring Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee in the modern day. According to the caption, the second season takes place 78 years later.

In the first picture, the lead characters stand opposite each other with sad faces on a snowy day, adding curiosity about their relationship. The second photo features Ho-Jae inside Tae-Sang’s House of Golden Treasure’s room where all the items were kept. His face and hand are covered with bandages. The third photo of Gyeongseong Creature season 2 shows So-Hee’s character covered in cuts and bruises thrown on the ground with her hands tied in the back.

While the K-Drama‘s post-credit hinted at season 2, the newly released photos confirm the renewal, creating a lot of hype around it. It seems fate will bring the lead characters together once again. In season 1, the lovebirds couldn’t end up together as Chae-Ok died. However, she has the parasite inside her body after her mother Seishin (the original monster) saves her.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the second season as the first one ended on major cliffhangers. The Gyeongseong Creature Season 2 release date has not been announced yet. Viewers can stream season 1 on Netflix — it comes in two parts.
