Netflix continues to draw strong viewership with content surrounding Lyle and Erik Menendez.

True crime documentary “The Menendez Brothers” was the the most-watched title on the streamer during the week of Oct. 6-12. Premiering on Oct. 7, it hit 22.7 million views in its first six days of availability.

The film benefitted from recently increased attention on the brothers, drummed up by real-life developments in their case as well as Ryan Murphy’s scripted series “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.” Having premiered on Sept. 19, the series is in its fourth week on the Netflix Top 10 and remains popular, landing at No. 3 with 8.7 million views.

The two TV titles to beat “Monsters” were Season 4 of “Outer Banks,” which debuted No. 1 with 15.5 million views in its first three days of availability, and “Nobody Wants This,” back at No. 2 with 9.6 million views after debuting there and then spending one week in the top position. “Outer Banks” will certainly spend an extended period on the Netflix Top 10; in addition to its already established popularity, only the first five episodes of Season 4 premiered on Oct. 10, while another five will debut on Nov. 7.
