Bridgerton season 4 is already looking like it could be the best one yet—there's no denying the steaminess of a Sophie and Benedict love story—and the newest member of the 'Ton is sure to give Harry Potter fans reason to celebrate. Katie Leung, who played Cho Cheng in the beloved film series, was announced as the actress tackling the role of Araminta Gun, which puts her in another beloved franchise. Previously, she appeared in the fourth movie, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and was in all of them until the very last, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

According to Shondaland's description of Gun, fans can expect a complex and layered character that's "fabulous."

"Araminta Gun, portrayed by Katie Leung, is twice married and twice widowed. The mother of two girls debuting on the marriage mart this season, she is feeling the pressure to get at least one of them married. Fabulous, discerning, and blunt, this lady does not respond well when anything—or anyone—threatens her standing in society."

In 2014, Leung was named a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and since her time at Hogwarts, she has been in multiple theater productions, including The Comeuppance at London’s Almeida Theatre and the Royal Court Theatre’s White Pearl. More recently, she's appeared in The Wheel of Time and The Peripheral, both huge hits on Prime Video.

Netflix and Shondaland previously revealed that the next season (based on Julia Quinn's An Offer from a Gentleman) will revolve around Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, and Sophie Baek, portrayed by newcomer Yerin Ha. Speaking to Tudum, Thompson teased a fairy-tale romance for fans.

“What’s striking about season 4 is that it’s the struggle between a proper old-school fairy tale—the romance of it—and the actual reality of the world,” Thompson said. “And both are true. You have to hold both of them—the romance and the reality—in your hand. In its best version, ‘true love’ happens in the middle of that.”

"The scripts that [showrunner] Jess [Bromwell] and her team have come up with are dynamite. They’re really, really, really exciting. The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella," he added. "You remember being told those stories as a child—the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton. It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”
