Who is the next ‘Bachelorette’? Will it be Maria, Daisy or Jenn?
Here's where to read about "The Bachelor" 2024 finale, including the new Bachelorette, Jenn Tran, and what happened to Maria and Daisy.
Joey Graziadei’s season as “The Bachelor” is winding down, which means it’s time to look forward to what’s next: “The Bachelorette.”
There are 32 contestants from Season 28 of “The Bachelor” who can take the leading lady spot — minus the woman who wins the tennis pro’s heart — so there are many options.
Fans have some favorites as well.
While it would be great to see the first Asian lead with Jenn Tran, people enjoy the honesty and sass of Maria Georgas.
Viewers have found compassion for Lexi Young who is dealing with endometriosis and is ready to settle down and try to have children soon as well as Rachel Nance, who dealt with a lot of ugly racism and bullying from the audience for getting a rose.
So, who is the next “Bachelorette”? Here’s what we know so far.
Warning: Spoilers ahead about the winner of Season 28 of “The Bachelor”
Who is the new ‘Bachelorette’ 2024?
There are two front-runners for the lead in Season 21 of “The Bachelorette” and those women are Maria Georgas and Daisy Kent.
According to Reality Steve, 22 of the 24 women who’ve been the “Bachelorette” have finished in the top 4 during their time on “The Bachelor.”
This isn’t to say that something couldn’t change in the near future, he went on to say. That’s because there have been times when people have been selected as the new lead only for it to get taken from them.
In the blog posted on March 12, Reality Steve went on to say that “The Bachelorette” would begin filming in 2.5 weeks, which means that production is most likely to start on or near April 1.
An announcement for the next lead will likely be made at “After the Final Rose” during Joey’s season finale.
Other fan favorites for the role include Jenn and Rachel.

Will Maria be the next ‘Bachelorette’?
Maria was eliminated following the “Hometowns” episode of “The Bachelor” Season 28 during Week 8.
The 29-year-old is an executive assistant from Ontario, Canada.
No hard signs point to Maria being the next “Bachelorette” pick over anyone else except for the fact that she’s a fan favorite.
According to a post from @bachelordata on Instagram, Maria has passed 500,000 Instagram followers and has become the most-followed contestant from Joey’s season.
The last time any contestant on “The Bachelor” or “Bachelorette” passed that amount of followers before the finale was during Peter Weber’s season in 2020 with Madi, Hannah Ann and Victoria F.
At the time of publication, @maria.georgas has 529,000 followers on Instagram.
Now, whether being the most followed contestant is indicative of whether or not Maria becomes the lead, remains to be seen.
Will Daisy be the next ‘Bachelorette’?
Although Maria does have the highest follower count as of right now, she was not the first woman on Joey’s season of the show to pass 500,000 followers.
That spot goes to Daisy Kent.
She reached the milestone on Sunday, March 17. At the time of publication, @daisyykent has 512,000 followers.
As Daisy is a part of Joey’s final two on the show, it’s a little too soon to count out her relationship with the bachelor.
Fans have found Daisy’s story about her profound hearing loss and life with a cochlear implant inspiring. The 25-year-old account executive from Minnesota grew up on a Christmas tree farm and she wrote a children’s book titled “Daisy Doo All the Sounds She Knew.”

Who won ‘The Bachelor’ 2024?
Since Rachel just got sent home during the “Women Tell All” episode of “The Bachelor,” this leaves Daisy and Kelsey Anderson as the final two.
The winner of “The Bachelor” 2024 is Kelsey A. The 25-year-old junior project manager from Louisiana is engaged to Joey and has been since the end of filming.
The ending that the show is promoting is that Daisy realizes she is not the one Joey wants to be with. She tells Kelsey A. this before the final rose ceremony, Reality Steve shared on Instagram.
On the day of the rose ceremony, Daisy meets up with Joey, shares that she knows it’s not her and leaves.
The exact details of her final conversation remain to be seen.
