Nick Cannon revealed he was 16 when he first attended one of Diddy’s parties, but never saw a “Freak Off.” Cannon recently guest-hosted The Breakfast Club alongside DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Loren Larosa. Naturally, the conversation found its way to the topic of Puffy’s kickbacks, to which CTG asserted that “two people in this room right now have been to a Diddy party.”

Nick found that statement hard to believe and questioned the talking head, stating that Envy and Charlamagne had to attend “a Bad Boy event” at some point. After CTG and Envy both said no, Cannon explained that he had been going to those joints back “when I was a kid…at least 16, 17.” The room then erupted in “pauses” and “woahs” before the Wild N’ Out entertainer stood firmly in his admission, declaring that “I live my truth.” Cannon then continued, detailing how it was simply a party and that it wasn’t any of the stuff associated with the alleged “Freak Offs.”

“I remember standing outside, you know, trying to get into a Puff party out here in New York. Like, everybody was out. Like how the ‘One More Chance’ video looked, that was real, real stuff out here. Like people standing at the door [to see] who can get in and stuff like that – Bad Boy Parties was official in New York in the late ’90s.”

“Everybody gets scared to talk because they probably got something to hide. I ain’t got nothing to hide. I was in there Harlem shaking, doing all of that stuff, but it wasn’t – come on, whatever.”

While CTG and Envy gave Cannon a bit of heat for his admission, the comment section on the video posted to Instagram sided with Nick. Some comments attacked The Breakfast Club mainstays and accused them of distancing themselves from their past. Other accounts bigged up Nick Cannon for being himself and being real about “his truth.”

“I respect him for doubling down and being a man about his experiences,” one comment said. “Every celebrity has been to a Diddy party. They used to be the place to be, it was MTV commercials for goodness sake. A party and a ‘Freak Off’ are different things, let’s not be dense,” another account chimed in.

“I went to a Diddy party … long as you don’t stay for the after party u good,” a man typed. “They fronting because of what’s going on now! This how we do! When it ain’t hot, ‘Oh, I don’t do them joints!’ Whole time, they wanted to or did try,” someone else shot out.
