Nick Cave Announces 2024 Australian Solo Shows
Nick Cave will perform a series of shows in Sydney and Melbourne in April 2024. He’ll be accompanied by Radiohead bass player Colin Greenwood throughout the four-show run, performing songs from across his 45-year career. Cave and Greenwood conducted a similar tour of North America through September and October.
“I cannot wait to bring this special show to Australia next year, accompanied by the great Colin Greenwood,” Cave said in a statement. “It is a privilege to share the songs with an audience in this way – stripped back and unadorned, revealing their essential nature.”

The tour kicks off with two shows at The Plenary in Melbourne – a venue inside the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Cave performed three solo shows at the Plenary in 2014, though his backing ensemble on that occasion was more elaborate than what’s planned for the 2024 shows. Cave and Greenwood will then travel north for two shows at the State Theatre in Sydney.
The setlists for the North American tour included songs from a variety of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds albums, including Skeleton Tree (2016), Push the Sky Away (2013), Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!! (2008), Ghosteen (2019), Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus (2004), Henry’s Dream (1992), The Boatman’s Call (1997) and Tender Prey (1988), as well as Cave and Warren Ellis’ 2021 LP Carnage.
