Nick Offerman Boards ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ at Apple TV+

Apple TV+’s forthcoming Margo’s Got Money Troubles is adding to its already star-studded cast.

Nick Offerman has joined the series from A24 and showrunner David E. Kelley. The Parks and Recreation favorite will star opposite Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman and Michelle Pfeiffer in the drama.

Based on the best-selling novel by Rufi Thorpe, Margo’s Got Money Troubles follows the title character (played by Fanning), who is “the daughter of a Hooters waitress and former pro wrestler,” per the show’s logline. “After having an affair with her junior college English professor, she gets pregnant and turns to OnlyFans to make ends meet. After reuniting with her estranged father, who imparts advice he learned in the wrestling ring, Margo becomes a runaway success on OnlyFans.”

Offerman will play Jinx, Margo’s dad; Pfeiffer plays her mother.

Offerman won an Emmy for his guest role in seasone one of HBO’s The Last of Us. He also stars in Fox’s animated series The Great North and has a role in Netflix’s historical drama Death by Lightning, due in 2025. Other recent credits include Civil War and The Umbrella Academy. Offerman is repped by UTA and Jackoway Austen.

Kelley is adapting Thorpe’s novel and will executive produce via his eponymous production company, along with Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward of Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; Matthew Tinker of David E. Kelley Productions; and Pfeiffer, Thorpe and Eva Anderson.
