Nicki Minaj Reveals Dates For Second North American Leg Of Pink Friday 2 Tour
Fans who missed the domestic stops for the Pink Friday 2 Tour are in luck. Nicki Minaj officially revealed the dates for the second North American leg of her worldwide trek.
The 41-year-old rapper will have 22 additional domestic stops in total. She will begin in Philadelphia on Sept. 4 before coming back to New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami. The second leg will close in her hometown Queens on Oct. 11. Los Angeles natives especially lucked out, as there wasn’t an official tour date on the first North American leg due to her performance at Rolling Loud; now, they will get two individual shows. Minaj teased the second North American leg of her tour earlier this month. She is currently overseas on the European portion of the trek, though that came with some controversy.
Nicki Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam and unable to perform at her Manchester show. She claimed that her treatment was “disgusting” and believed that race had something to do with her arrest.
“Not being able to get to Manchester, I don’t know when was the last time I felt that low,” she said during a Stationhead stream. “Not only that, but knowing that something is being done to you on purpose simply because you are a confident other race […] There was one lady there — all the rest were men — and I could tell she had a heart. The treatment was just disgusting and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
A fan asked if she was treated like a human and she replied, “No […] When they put out that press release that I was released; I was still in the building. They were doing maybe damage control, I don’t know.” Minaj was suspected of drug possession and detained in the Dutch capital. She has since been released and rescheduled her Manchester show to June 3.
