Nicole Ari Parker is ready to embody her “And Just Like That” character Lisa Todd Wexley again. The actress was spotted on set filming Season Three of the series in New York on July 9, wearing bright blue satin pumps with a multi-colored dress featuring a blue skirt.

Introduced in the Max original series, which continues the story of “Sex and the City,” the always-fashionable Lisa Todd Wexley fits right in with the stylish New York City friend group, which also includes Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis).

Filming in the city on Tuesday, Parker was dressed in a well-coordinated outfit in shades of white, blue and black. She wore a fitted long-sleeve dress that fell just past her knees; the top was white, while the skirt was a vibrant shade of blue. In the middle of the dress was a black geometric design that overlapped on both the white and blue sections of the garment. She also carried a two-toned purse — one half darker blue, one half lighter blue — which featured black geometric patterns as well.

While Parker stands at 5-foot-8, the length of the skirt could have created a look that diminished her frame, but the star embraced a styling hack that created the illusion of extra height, all thanks to her shoes. She looked to Saint Laurent’s Anja blue satin pumps (a style she wore in Season One), which were complete with a sharp toe, low-cut vamp and a d’Orsay silhouette — a style that leaves the sides of the foot uncovered, highlighting the flattering arches of the foot and the appearance of more length. The trifecta created a cohesive look by carefully coordinating head-to-toe style proportions. The brand’s shoes also featured a nearly 4-inch stiletto heel that erected her even further.

D’Orsay pumps come with an interesting history. In the 1800s, the silhouette — named after its creator, Alfred Guillaume Gabriel, the Count d’Orsay, was worn by men, particularly military men. The Count came up with the idea to cut out the sides of shoes to improve their fit.

Nicole Ari Parker was recently at the July 1 Marc Jacobs fashion show at the New York Public Library — a New York location with “Sex and the City” history attached to it — where she wore a black velvet one-piece and pointed black flats.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis have all been seen filming scenes of “And Just Like That” around the city recently, wearing striking clothing courtesy of costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago.
