Nikki Has a Plan For Lily On Young and Restless August 21
On the August 21 episode of The Young and the Restless, Nikki cross-examined Lily, then reported to Victor that the co-CEO of Abbott-Chancellor thinks of Jill and Katherine as family and that she won’t step away from Chancellor Industries once Victor takes over and Nikki steps in. Victor assured her that he’d make it work. He’s good at everything, you know. Nikki made a face. But didn’t argue with him. Could that be because she has a — better — plan of her own?
Joining Forces
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) insisted that she truly likes Lily (Christel Khalil) and that Lily respects Nikki in turn. That’s good, Victor said. We can use that. Nikki agreed to keep working on her good friend Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) daughter.
Sure, they have their love for Kay (Jeanne Cooper) in common. But what if Lily’s loyalty to the Newmans went even deeper than that?
Have You Met….?
It wasn’t our imagination. Y&R was definitely chem-testing Lily with Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) a while back. And they did it more than once. We were actually kind of intrigued by the possibility. And that was before there was a good, plot-based reason for it.
What if Nikki decides to push Nick in Lily’s direction as a way to get Lily on Nikki and Victor’s side when it comes to taking Chancellor away from Billy (Jason Thompson)? It makes poetic sense. Billy is Lily’s ex. Nick could be her future. It makes choosing a side pretty darn easy. (And Billy has been treating Lily awfully, anyway. He has it coming.)
Hanging Around
The only question is: Would Nick go for it? We have a better question: Why does Nick have to know? The dude isn’t exactly what one would call…bright.
We bet Nikki can make it happen without her baby boy being the wiser. She only wants what’s best for him, after all. Lily is the daughter of a dear family friend. And, oh, look, a family company comes with her! Who knew?
