Nina Dobrev Shares Sweet Tribute for 'Birthday Boy' Shaun White Filled with the Couple's 'Cute Moments'

The 'Vampire Diaries' actress shared multiple cute photos on Instagram on Sept. 3 to mark White's 38th birthday

Nina Dobrev is taking a trip down memory lane to celebrate boyfriend Shaun White's birthday!

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Vampire Diaries alum, 35, shared multiple sweet snaps on Instagram to mark White turning 38. Her loving tribute post was filled with various images, ranging from scooter rides to silly selfies.

"It’s so hard to go through years of photos and narrow down the ones to post for your birthday," Dobrev wrote in the caption. "There are too many photos, too many adventures, too much laughter, too many cute moments, too many trips, too many inside jokes, too many memories and of course way too many photos that are too inappropriate to post."

"I love to too much birthday boy ?? @shaunwhite," the Bricklayer actress concluded.

One shot showed the couple embracing with blue skies in the background, while a second snap showed the former professional snowboarder and skateboarder in a white shirt with a black bow tie draped around his neck.

The carousel of images included an adorable pic of Dobrev sitting on White's knee in a floral dress while kicking her leg up in the air in front of a picturesque background, and the duo posed for multiple selfies together in the post as well.

Other photos showed them going for a scooter ride together, and the pair holding up glasses of what appeared to be champagne.

Dobrev and White went public with their relationship in April 2020, and have spoken openly about their love for one another ever since.

While appearing on an episode of PEOPLE in 10 in January, Dobrev revealed she and White still made an effort to do regular date nights after four years together.

“In general, I'm more of a planner in life. Yeah, I like a schedule and I like a plan for sure. I'm a Capricorn so that's very much part of my personality,” she explained of who plans their evenings together. “But, we implemented something, I think, it's really cool. We do date night every week and we alternate [planning].”

Dobrev continued, “So, one week I'll plan it and he won't have any idea what we're doing so it's a surprise for him. And then the following week, he'll plan and it'll be a complete surprise for me. And we do that every single week.”

The actress said at the time that the experience “keeps things sort of exciting and interesting and dedicates time for the two of us to spend together.”

When it comes to potentially tying the knot, White previously told PEOPLE in April 2023 that they were "just enjoying" their "time together right now" and that there was "no pressure" to get married.

"But you never know. We'll see what happens," he admitted.
