At 10 a.m. on August 15, Nipsey Hussle officially became the 2,729th walk of famer by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The event was graced with his family, life partner Lauren London, friends, and stars such as Russell Westbrook, YG, Roddy Ricch, and more.

Nipsey Hussle was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his life journey accomplishments which included five Grammy nominations with two Grammy wins, numerous successful business ventures, successful music labels, a dedication to community outreach, a brand conglomerate of The Marathon, and much more.

Nipsey Hussle's sister Samantha Smith spoke about the reverence she has for her brother and the impact he's had on her life. "You've been a star in my eyes, our family's eyes, and God's eyes," she said. His father Dawit Asghedom also spoke on behalf of the family expressing the proudness he holds for his son's legacy: "Even though he was taken from us too soon, he will live in our hearts and minds forever."
