Noah Kahan Collaborates With Brandi Carlile, Gregory Alan Isakov on ‘Stick Season (Forever)’
Noah Kahan has closed out his Stick Season series with Stick Season (Forever), a release that includes duets with Brandi Carlile and Gregory Alan Isakov. The final chapter features Kahan’s new single, “Forever,” “You’re Gonna Go Far” with Carlile, and “Paul Revere” with Isakov.
“I am excited and kind of sad to be releasing Forever, alongside these two dream collaborations with Brandi Carlile and Gregory Alan Isakov,” Kahan said in a statement. “Firstly, I’m grateful and beyond proud to be sharing these two songs with artists that have soundtracked my entire life. Gregory and Brandi have written songs that have carried me through pain, loneliness, dramatic life changes, and the entirety of my career. I am so honored to have them on this final re-release.”

He continued, “Forever is a long time. This album cycle has felt like forever, and I’ve loved every second of it. I have loved living in this world. I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin, more proud of what I was representing in my songwriting, and more vindicated by the response to a record that was really an extension of my soul.”
The musician added that “the word ‘forever’ used to terrify me.” “I hate finality, there is too much uncertainty and boredom affiliated with ‘the rest of time,'” he said. “Now though, I’ve found forever to mean there is limitless possibility. There is so much joy in the world, waiting to be found. That is something that Stick Season has shown me, that this year has shown me. Sometimes it just takes a change in perspective.”
These three songs join the 21 previously-released tracks from Kahan’s 2022 LP Stick Season and its 2023 follow-up Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever). The singer has collaborated with Post Malone, Kacey Musgraves, Hozier, Sam Fender, Gracie Abrams, and Lizzy McAlpine on the series.
Kahan, who was recently up for Best New Artist at the Grammys, noted that he’s unsure of his next chapter after Stick Season. “I do not know what is next,” he said. “But I’m glad I get forever to find it.”
Last week, Kahan appeared at Spotify’s Best New Artist Party to showcase “Everywhere, Everything,” his collaboration with Gracie Abrams, live. He also recently appeared as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live to perform “Dial Drunk,” from Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever), and “Stick Season,” the title track of the original version of the LP.
The musician is currently on his We’ll Be Here Forever tour, which hits the U.K. and Europe this month. It continues in March in North America with dates through July. He’s set to perform at several summer music festivals, including Montreal’s Osheaga Festival and Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival.
